Jean Monnet University enjoys strong international recognition for its innovative research on sports performance and the relationship between physical activity and health. Our approach is based on rich interdisciplinary collaboration between medical and health sciences, sports sciences, and materials science and engineering. In this field, we also benefit from an exceptional range of facilities and technical platforms, unmatched at the European level.
JMU also offers a wide range of high-level training programmes in this field, with several master's specialisations in health sciences and sports sciences, as well as doctoral programmes in these areas. These programmes are now brought together under the Graduate School PATHS. Its goal is to enhance the visibility of our programmes, make them more attractive, and develop synergies and collaborations, particularly at the international level and within excellence programmes.
The Graduate School PATHS will provide support tailored to each individual's needs:
PATHS will contribute to the dynamism of the field by organising thematic schools, creating events, and inviting influential figures in movement sciences, training, and exercise-based health. This momentum will benefit the university, as well as Saint-Étienne and its region, along with local and regional businesses and economic partners in our sector.
